Students 7th-12th are invited to an opportunity to serve together in the surrounding Houston area this summer as we come alongside various local ministries. Students are highly encouraged to invite friends and sign up quickly as we have a LIMITED number of spots.
On Tuesday, students will serve with our Hands Ministry in order to meet the needs of families affected by the fires in Tamina and assist with some construction projects. Afterward, we'll head to downtown Houston where we'll have dinner ($1 Tacos at Pistoleros!), catch a movie (half-price movie tickets!), and rest up in our hotel before another day of serving.
On Wednesday we'll be serving ministries within the city (including Open Door Mission, LifeHouse Houston, Rainbow Housing, & Project Cure) helping to prepare meals, sort and arrange medical goods, and minister to local women and kids before heading to an Astros game in the evening. Students can take full advantage of $1 hot-dog night at the ballpark! We'll head back to our hotel on Wednesday evening.
On Thursday morning we'll enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading straight to Schlitterbahn in Galveston! We'll spend all day at the park (students will have a meal voucher to enjoy lunch inside the park), and have dinner in Galveston before arriving back at Church Project on Thursday evening.
COST = $35 (cost includes transportation, movie-ticket, hotel, breakfast on Wednesday & Thursday, Astros ticket, Schlitterbahn day pass and meal voucher.
