The relationships that students have with their Small Group Leaders, and with each other, have a major impact when it comes to discipleship. Therefore, it's important for students and their Small Group Leaders to spend time together just "being." Sitting down and sharing a meal, watching a movie and talking about it afterwards, playing paintball...whatever the occasion...it's through numerous moments like these that relationships are built and cultivated. Our desire is to see parents, students, and leaders valuing and prioritizing these times. Small Group Leaders and students will discuss some options together and then make sure parents are in the loop! So, on the weekend of April 29-30, students are highly encouraged to join their small groups in order to be together. Don't miss the opportunity to invest in others, and be invested in!

Hey Jr. High students and parents…we have some news that we are excited to share with you! Beginning January 8, 2017, Jr. High students (7th-8th) will be gathering on Sunday mornings at 11am in the student room!
Sunday gatherings are a vital part of Church Project, and each one is guided by our core values of being biblical, simple, and relevant. In light of these values, we want to make every effort to ensure that Jr. High Students are being biblically, simply, and relevantly engaged on Sunday mornings. So, we are creating a Jr. High Specific gathering at 11am as a step in that effort.
How will this affect Monday nights for Jr. High Students?
These 11am gatherings will neither replace nor in any way change Monday nights for Jr. High students. Rather, these gatherings will be supplemental for 7th-8th graders as they will now have an opportunity to learn God’s word (in a more relevant way) on Sunday mornings on top of the foundation of Monday nights.
Since FIFTY6 currently meets in the Student room on Sunday mornings, will Jr. High and FIFTY6 be together for the entire 11am gathering?
No, Jr. High students will join 5th-6th graders in the student room for large group worship only. Afterwards, 5th-6th will head upstairs for their own large group teaching and small groups.
How will Sunday mornings be different from Monday Nights for Jr. High students?
On Monday nights, 7th-12th gather for large group worship and teaching, which is followed by time in grade specific small groups led by Small Group Leaders. Sunday mornings will be different in that Jr. High students will gather with 5th-6th graders for large group worship only. 5th-6th graders will be upstairs for specific large group teaching and small groups whereas, downstairs, Jr. High students will progress through large group teaching and meaningful rotations which will help them learn to pray, memorize scripture, journal, and influence others for the sake of Christ.
Will Jr. High Small Group Leaders be present during Sunday and Monday gatherings?
No, the main focus of Jr. High Small Group Leaders is Monday night. On Sundays, there will be a team of committed adult & student volunteers who will help facilitate meaningful rotations for Jr. High students. So, Jr. High students will still maintain their important relationships with their Small Group Leaders while also being encouraged by other adults on Sunday mornings.
What should Jr. High students and parents plan to do on Sunday mornings at 11am?
Beginning January 8, 2017, 7th-8th graders should meet in the student room and be sure to sign-in when they arrive. Toward the conclusion of the 11am gathering, when parents are promoted to retrieve their children, parents should plan to meet their Jr. High students at the entrance of the student room and then return to the main gathering in order to worship as a family.
Parents, if you have any other questions please feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org
We are looking forward to great days ahead!
